Silent sorrows

You reap what you sow, so I sowed sorrow all throughout my mind,
at least in pain I borrow the essence you left behind.
Grief’s garden grows with seeds of silent pleas; hopeful whispers to the breeze,
Where thorns of thought grow thick and deep, and weeping willows weep.
Where wild wishes wither and wane under the weight of what went,
A heavy heart howls hollow, echoing loss and lament.

Amid twilight’s tender touch, where memories softly fade,
I trace the steps of yesteryears in sorrow’s serenade,
Seeking solace in sorrow’s rain, songs of serenity, silently sane.

The hungering heart howls hollow when your absence chimes,
Each step feels shallow in the march of the resigned.
What can I borrow from tomorrow, when hope seems so unkind?
In the silence of my sorrow, your memory’s confined.

In the depth of dusk, where dreams dare dwell, amidst whispers of a wishing well,
Beneath the burdened boughs, where broken dreams do lay,
I wander through the whispers of what we couldn’t say.

Can courage claim closure, or does destiny detest?
What wisdom is won from woe when warmth wanes in my chest?
